Bayou Book Junkie Gives Wonderland Four Stars!

Woo hoo! Thanks so much to Bayou Book Junkie for the great review of my story in “This Wish Tonight”:

Bayou Book Junkie

This was my favorite of the three stories in this book. I was in awe that Mr. Coatsworth managed to write a post-apocalyptic story of this length that didn’t feel rushed.

Zeke thinks he’s the last man alive after the zombie apocalypse ended with the rest of humanity. He’s been living in a small cabin in rural Montana and trying to no avail to find someone else alive through the shortwave radio at his disposal. He’s lonely and wants someone he can love. Nathan has been traveling across the country on foot since the apocalypse with his friend Andy, who tends to disappear when Nathan needs him the most and dealing with his OCD as best he can in an inhospitable environment. Finding each other can’t be anything but fate, but can they work through all the issues that may tear them apart?

I really enjoyed the explanation for the apocalypse, as it seems something that could actually happen. I loved Zeke and thought it was lovely how he tried to make himself presentable for Nathan. I liked Nathan, although he did get on my nerves a bit. And I really liked Andy and how his appearance in the story was explained.

All in all, a very complete, engaging story, with a hopeful and sweet ending! Very recommendable!

Rating: 4.5 Stars!!!
